Strategies

Chance's Knife is one of the most deadly melee weapons in the game, due to it's high DPS. Finding it is very dangerous, and may not be worth the cost of finding it.

Strategy

Despite the weapon's immense power, it is mostly useless and can only be used on a very small number of enemies at the very end.

Pushy

Where to Find

Pushy can be found in the Ruby Hill Mine, near Jacobstown and is brimming with Lakelurks. Take the left-hand exit from the enterance and, at the bottom of the hill, should lay a dead member of the Jackals. You'll know you're coming up on the correct mine because there are 2-3 Bighorners grazing in front of it. Pushy may be wielded by a member of Caesar's Legion at Cottonwood Cove, though this is rare and should not be trusted upon. Pushy is also one of the items that randomly spawns in the Van Graffs' safe at the Silver Rush in Freeside.

Strategy

Pushy is the best possible unarmed weapon in the game- it does only a little less damage than the Ballistic Fist, but has a much greater amount of item health, and it has a much lower required strenght (2) than the Ballistic Fist (9).

Paladin Toaster

Where to Find

The Paladin Toaster is simply laying on the body of a dead prospector in Black Rock Cavern, which is guarded by a Nightkin.

Strategies

The Paladin Toaster, as the name implies, is best used when dealing with members of the Brotherhood of Steel. It's crowning moment of glory is seen in the Ceasar's Legion quest-line when the player must escape the self-destructing Brotherhood bunker.
The Weapon is also great for fighting into the robot army under the The Fort.

Love and Hate

Where to Find

Love and Hate can be found in two locations in New Vegas. First, just north of the Goodsprings Cemetary is Bonnie Springs, where a group of Viper gang members are. The Viper Gang Leader has the special spiked knuckles. Be warned, there is a glitch on the Playstation 3 version of the game, that sometimes when killing the gang leader with any scoped weapon will cause the game to freeze shortly after she dies.

On very rare occasions, Love and Hate can be found in Cottonwood Cove, in the main building on the second floor in a filing cabinet, but this is spawned somewhat randomly, and should not be relied upon.

Strategies

Due to their small size, fast attack speed, and large amounts of damage, Love and Hate is one of, if not the, single best Hold-Out weapons in New Vegas, and takes a low sneak skill to get into most buildings with them.
Love and Hate is a great starter weapon for players planning to use an unarmed specialist.

Golden Gloves

Special Properties- +50 Fatigue, +15 damage to non-fatigable foes

*- The Golden Gloves don't do damage to an enemies HP, instead, it does damage to their fatigue. When the victim's fatigue drops down to zero or lower, they collapse uncouncious, as if they were plot-important NPCs. An uncouncious enemy can not be killed with the Golden Gloves, however, if an enemy can not take fatigue damage, then the weapon will do 15 normal damage per swing.

Where to Find

The Golden Gloves are on the Casino floor of the Lucky 38 Casino in New Vegas. Go to the VIP Lounge up the stairs at the left side of the enterance to the Casino and they are sitting on a bookshelf, along with a framed copy of Boxing Times, implying Mr. House used to be quite the fighter.

Strategies

The Golden Gloves are best for situations where you are forced to fight an enemy that you don't want to kill and face repercussions, for example- accidently stealing a dinner plate in an NCR base. Instead of dying or killing the troops and losing all your reputation with them, you can use the Golden Gloves to knock them out and escape.
Robots can not take damage to fatigue, and the damage of the Golden Gloves is relativly minor otherwise, thus it is recommended that in a robot fight the Courier should switch weapons.

Cram Opener

Where to Get it

The Cram Opener is located at Camp McCarran, it is wielded by the ex-mercenary bounty hunter named Little Buster who is staying at the base to complete the bounty for the Fiends. He spends most of his time practicing hand-to-hand combat with the Cram Opener on a training dummy on the camp, and it can either be pickpocketed from him there, or he can be killed and have it looted from his corpse, though this will trigger the base to attack. Completing the quest " Three-Card Bounty" will cause Litle Buster to run away, and his corpse can be found one to three days later on the tracks near the north entrance to Freeside.

It is possible to get two Cram Openers, first by pick-pocketing it from Little Buster at Camp McCarran, next complete Three-Card Bounty and a second one will be located on the bounty hunter's corpse.

Strategies

The added melee strength of the Cram Opener, and it's ignorance of DT, makes the weapon ideal for close-range sneak attacks. Sneak Assassinations are often one-hit kills with the weapon.
The weapon's high damage, speed and DT ignorance also makes it ideal for beginners, and it's early location helps new characters obtain a powerful melee weapon.

If Hawke is a mage, Bethany will be killed by the Ogre near the end of the prolouge and if Hawke is a warrior or rogue, Carver will die.

When Hawke arrives, she goes with him, taking a new home at the Elven Allienage.
A Romance with Merrill will require 50% friendship/rivalry by act 2, you will need to flirt at least once before or during the Questioning Beliefs mid-point relationship conversation in Act 2. After the Questioning Beliefs has finished, Merrill will visit the Hawke Estate in the evening if either status is 50% or more.

However, Anders' hate for the Chantry and Circle were too great and it corrupted Justice into a demon of Vengeance, which Anders must now struggle to control.

Once the slave of a Tevintir mage, Fenris is covered in pure lyrium scars that cause him excruciating pain, but make him incredibly powerful. After escaping his slavers, Fenris began to use his power to kill other slavers and rescue more slaves. His time with his old master have caused him a deep hatred for all mages, which he believe will always choose power no matter the cost, and only use the circle as a scapegoat to allow them to perform acts of terrorism. He is a possible romance for either male Hawke or female Hawke.

Blades of Athena
Kratos' main weapon from God of War II, carried over into the prolouge level. The attacks are identical to the original, but with the added magic- Divine Reckoning- which causes Kratos to stab the ground with the Blade of Olympus, creating a typhoon of magic lightning. The weapons arn't used long but using Aphrodite's Garter will allow players to replace the Blades of Exile with them in a New Game+.

Blades of Exile
New weapons that replace the Blades of Athena, Kratos will gain these extremley early into the game, shortly before beginning his attack on Hades. It's magic abillity is called "Army of Sparta", and it creates a phalanx of Spartan Warriors around Kratos that push out with their spears. As the weapons level up, more soldiers join the phalanx, and arrows rain from the sky.

Claws of Hades Hades' main weapons, the Claws can rip the souls of the living out of their bodies and turn them against other foes. Kratos takes the Claws of Hades after he kills the titular God in the Underworld. The Claws can summon ghost-like versions of various enemies, depending on the weapon's level- it can summon Cerberus Mongruel, Olympus Sentry, Olympus Archer, Gorgon Serpent, Olympus Fiend, Chimera, Cyclops Beserker, Centaur General and the Siren Seductress.

Nemean Cestus
Massive Gauntlets used by Hercules, the Nemean Cestus are obtained after Kratos kills his brother and claims them from his corpse. The Cestus are the slowest weapons in the game, but hit for tremendous damage. They are the only thing able to break the Onyx rocks found throughout the game and the Onyx shields of later foes. The weapons magic- the Nemean Roar- sends a shockwave of energy through the ground, doing damage to a large area of enemies.

Nemesis Whip
The Nemisis Whip is an multi-bladed extending electric conductor, created from the Omphalos Stone obtained from the stomach of Cronos and giving it to Hephaestus, the Nemsis Whip can hit multiple enemies and surges them with energy. The whips can also be used to power various worn-down and broken machinery through-out Olympus. It's magic spell, Nemesis Rage, electricutes multiple enemies and functions similar to God of War II's Cronos' Rage.
